Mythral for accounting and advisory firms

AI meeting notes your security review can pass.

Dictation and meeting notes that run on the Mac. Client financials, tax positions and audit findings never go to a vendor, so there is no vendor risk to assess.

Will this pass our security review?

Most AI note-takers fail on one question: where does client data go? With Mythral it stays on the Mac, encrypted. There is no data processor to assess and no data processing agreement to negotiate.

Why cloud note-takers are a problem

Client data goes to a third party.

A cloud note-taker uploads every client call, with its numbers, to a vendor that stores and processes it.

So security teams block them.

Institutions increasingly ban AI meeting assistants outright unless the vendor is approved under contract.

And people use them anyway.

When the approved tools are slow to arrive, staff use free cloud note-takers on personal accounts, where nobody can see or control what is kept.

What Mythral does about it

No vendor in the data path

Recognition, notes and dictation run on Apple silicon. Transcripts and kept audio are encrypted on the Mac.

Every connection documented

The security page lists every connection the app can make. With OfflineMode, it makes none.

One installer, one profile

Push the app and its models with your MDM, and lock every setting with a configuration profile.

Visible to IT, without telemetry

Each Mac writes a status file with the version, models and license, readable by Jamf. Nothing is reported to us.

The controls your IT team sets

Each is a key in a configuration profile for com.mythral.app. Set it and it is locked on every Mac. See every setting.

OfflineModeNo connection to the internet from the app. Models come with the installer.
ScreenReadingAllowedNever read other apps' windows. Dictation still works, from the voice alone.
BlockedAppsApps where Mythral never listens and never reads the screen. Password managers and banking apps are always excluded.
transcriptRetentionMeeting transcripts kept forever, 90 days or 30 days. Notes and next steps stay.
UpdatesAllowedThe app never updates itself. IT pushes approved versions.
LicenseKeyYour organization's license, checked on the Mac. No account, no license server.

Questions your risk committee will ask

Does Mythral ever see our conversations?

No. There is no Mythral server. Speech recognition, notes and dictation run on the Mac, and transcripts and kept audio are encrypted there with AES-GCM. We never receive your data, so there is nothing for us to store, lose or hand over.

Is there a data processing agreement to sign?

There's nothing for us to process. We never receive your data. You still get a short statement saying so for your vendor file.

How do updates work?

However IT prefers. Set UpdatesAllowed to false and the app never updates itself; IT pushes approved versions. Every build is signed and notarized by Apple.

Can IT see which Macs run it?

Yes, without telemetry. Each Mac writes a local status file with its version, models and license, which a Jamf extension attribute can read.

Can IT stop it from connecting to the internet?

Yes. With OfflineMode set in your MDM profile, the app makes no connections of its own: no downloads, no update checks. The installer carries every model. Every connection the app can make is listed on the security page.

Does a bot join the call?

No. Mythral listens to the Mac's own audio, so it works with Zoom, Teams, Meet and phone calls without joining anything.

Does it work with Outlook calendars?

Mythral reads meetings from the macOS Calendar app. Add your Microsoft 365, Exchange or Google account in System Settings › Internet Accounts, and meetings arrive with their titles and attendees.

What happens to notes when someone leaves?

They are on that person's Mac, encrypted, and follow your usual device process. IT can remove the app and every account's data with the uninstall script.
